12 Miles at 6:55

So a nice fast long run at the park - only problem is my Garmin died. And then after recharging, it froze up - has been stuck on time/date mode, 5:54:51 to be exact, for about 12 hours now. Very sad. Has anyone else had their Garmin freeze up for no apparent reason? I had not let it run all the way down before, could this be the reason?

    Hi Mike,

    I've had Garmin freeze on me once and it sucks, especially before or during a run. I took it out of its misery by following the procedure below:

    I have no idea as to the reason why it froze, though it occurred after I had let it go down all the way too.

    Mine hasn't frozen on a particular screen, but on occasion, it won't turn on. I called Garmin to complain and they told me to hold in the Mode and Restart buttons togeter to override it. Stupid.

    Ok thanks I'm glad it's not just me that has trouble with these things - it's started working again, seems to be running fine now. I suppose I should be glad I've had it for 2 months with no problems up to this point, considering how complex a gadget it is.
