A 10k in 42:27

10k in 4227

6:50 per mile avg pace, very windy out there this weekend.

Something tells me I will crack the 40 minute barrier when given an appropriately fast and flat opportunity. Not a lot of 10k's near me so not sure when that will be.

Still loving the Garmin.

My next big workout will be on the track. Hello 400s. Hello pain. Hello speed.

  1. Congrats on your 10K! Still a PR though, no?

  3. I knew you'd fall in Garmin love. We all have. At least there is enough of her/him to go around.

How many 400's will you be doing? You aren't gonna pull a Quenton Cassidy and do 60 are you?

  4. That is a great work-out, even with the wind.
Garmin makes the post-running ritual so much more fun! :-D

  5. Thanks for the positive words!

Lam, yes technically it was a 10k PR for me, but do training sessions count? I suppose so, but I never had a precise way of measuring a 10k pre Garmin so I'm new to that.

Thanks Xenia. I'm hoping to better it shortly. Harder better faster stronger...

Copiaverborum: 60 400's?! Sixty?? I'm not sure I can do more than 25 without getting bored to hell. But I'll shoot for 30 just for you.

Count: right, the Garmin makes breaking it all down so much fun. The mile splits I've just discovered is an especially cool feature.
